Job Description:




The Staff Clinician / LGBTQIA+ Specialist provides direct clinical mental health counseling services to enrolled students in both undergraduate and graduate schools, including: individual and group counseling; outreach programming; case management; crisis intervention; training of graduate trainees; and collaboration/consultation with faculty and staff. The LGBTQIA+ Specialist is responsible for creating outreach programs, workshops, staff trainings for counseling center colleagues and therapy groups in support of the LGBTQIA+ student population. The clinician in this position will serve as the consultant for campus partners on LGBTQIA+ related issues.

Requirements:





  • Must have a master's or doctoral degree in psychology or social work, preferably with past training experience at a college counseling center.

  • Must have independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, or PsyD/PhD) within the state of Massachusetts (or is license eligible within a year).

  • Must have prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace with the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of constituents on campus.

  • Must have a general expert knowledge of mental health and psychological functioning.

  • Must be trained in the provision of affirmative therapy to members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Experience in developing and implementing LGBTQIA+ outreach and psychoeducational programming, preferred.
