Job Summary:

To recruit prospective undergraduate and graduate students to the nursing programs at UTA and counsel them on the admission process. Assist in the creation of various partnerships with community facilities and organizations to generate a pipeline of qualified prospective students and enhance recruitment strategies for UTA's College of Nursing and Health Innovation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Recruit qualified prospective students into UTA's College of Nursing and Health Innovation.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a recruiting plan for the DFW market to increase campus-based applications and enrollments.

  • Increase recruitment strategies with external community partners with a strong focus on specific target growth areas including the MSN campus-based and RN to BSN programs.

  • Develop goals and objectives specific to the DFW area that promotes qualified candidate application pipelines into the College of Nursing, participate in off-campus events including program information sessions, external partner activities, and admitted student engagement campaigns.

  • Represent the College of Nursing & Health Innovation at targeted recruitment and student events off-campus

  • Assist prospective students with a pathway to navigate next steps in the enrollment process including real-time engagement by email and phone with prospective students after an inquiry.

  • Monitor weekly, monthly and yearly progress towards goals, including monthly and yearly reports about territory and partnership activity.

  • Counsel prospective students at various stages of the college search cycle about the admissions process, transfer credit and undergraduate/graduate educational opportunities at the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the leadership.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in any business or related field with Two (2) years of experience counseling students in academic and scholastic matters, with a broad knowledge of institutional admission requirements or the equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Two (2) years of experience in admissions, recruitment, residence life, or advising.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak in front of large groups.

  • Computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office.
