Our company is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee our tungsten carbide coating operations in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, preferably with an engineering degree, and a proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
Overall leadership and management of the Huntsville plant, including production, quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize plant operations, improve efficiency, and drive growth.
Responsible for P&L management, budget development, and financial performance.
Implement and maintain robust quality control systems to ensure product consistency and customer satisfaction.
Oversee production processes, including coating application, finishing, and inspection.
Lead and develop a high-performance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and R&D departments to support new product development and customer needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a plant management role.
Proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing operations (150+ employees).
In-depth knowledge of metal powder coating processes, particularly with tungsten carbide.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
