Responsible for vendor selection and evaluation within AVL. Obtain favorable pricing, place new orders, release blanket orders, work on rescheduling exception messages, resolve shortages, expedite shortages, resolve component receipt issues, and update delivery date on shortage report. Work is reviewed in progress and upon completion.
Purchasing and assisting in managing inventory level to meet the contracted customer needs
Focus point for rejected material due to vendor or buyer error
Interface with and provide purchasing support and coordination with departments (EIT Representatives, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.)
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduling work breaks
