Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

Assist the Executive Director of Financial Student Success with coordinating and administering student financial aid programs and related activities. Performs management and supervisory responsibilities to ensure compliance with university and funding agency goals, policies, and requirements. Serves as a resource for financial aid processing policies and procedures. As well as supervises processing staff members.


Essential Duties Summary:



  • Setups, coordinates monitors, and implements all functions and processes for students who apply for or receive any type of financial aid.

  • Oversees import and export for Federal Grant and Direct Loan programs. Manages and performs reconciliation procedures. Monitors output reports and clean suspense file from UC4 data load process for institutional Student information records.

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Return of Title IV Funds (RT24) process; including but not limited to, calculations, award adjustments, and reporting of any federal overpayments to the NSLDS in accordance with required timelines.

  • Assists with maintaining the integrity of data of the financial aid module in Banner and/or job-related software releases.

  • Oversees TASFA and Texas Grant programs allocation funding.

  • Assists with developing implementation plans, conversions and installing new Banner and/or job-related software releases.

  • Ensures timely submission of college work-study earned hours. Assists with preparation of monthly college work-study reconciliation reports.

  • Awards, revises, and certifies all college access loans and alternative loans from various lenders.

  • Works with data analyst to prepare budgets for campus-based aid and Pell grants based on current guidelines

  • Assists with FISAP/THECB reports and other reports required by the state or Department of Education

  • Develops a working relationship with internal and external partners, as well as various college departments, staff and faculty ensuring they are provided with the financial aid support needed.

  • Serves as the Chair of the SAP committee and designates committee members from departments outside of student financial success

  • Maintains confidentiality and complies with financial aid administrators professional code of conduct.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:

$63,840.00 - $79,801.00


Education:

Master's degree (M.A. or M.S. or M.B.A.) in Business, Public Administration or related field.

  • Procedures and monitoring compliance in the federal loan and Federal Pell grant programs.

Demonstrates full command of technical and functional principles, procedures, and subject matter in multiple disciplines to handle any situation and lead or train others. Requires the ability to lead the development or modification of work procedures across multiple disciplines.

  • Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.

Work Experience:

Working/Environmental Conditions:

Routine office environment.Sitting or standing in one location much of the time. Some stooping, lifting or carrying objects light weight may be required.Use of video display terminal.
