Area Coordinator

The Area Coordinator (AC) is responsible for the development and management of one or more Learning Communities in an area housing approximately 700-1400 students. Reporting to an Assistant Director for Residential Education, the AC's role is to provide leadership an oversight for an area of campus which serves as a home for one or two Learning Communities. The Area Coordinator oversees the delivery of a meaningful residential experience by providing direct student support and intervention, building and maintaining a strong sense of community, and upholding a culture of student development embedded within our Learning Communities model.

A Master's Degree is required in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, or related field and at least 1 year full-time experience is required.
Successful candidates will be subject to background check due to the live-in nature of this position.
Previous supervision experience is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who embrace the concepts of Restorative Practices and who have a demonstrated commitment to intercultural competency development, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
$48,410 to $50,750 (11 months)
This is a required live-on position. This position is 11 months from July 1 - May 31.
Depending on final wage for top candidate, FLSA status may be exempt/non-exempt.
