Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8)



Department/Organization: 223101 - Dean's Office-Nursing



Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Systems Administrator I supports the functionality and availability of mission critical University and non-critical systems by performing entry level systems engineering and administration under close supervision. Provides system and application administration responsibilities for multiple systems to provide desktop deployment to the campus or department.



Additional Department Summary: Provides on-site technical and applications support for all computer related functions in the college. Plans, implements, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains local area networks, servers, PCs, notebooks, mobile devices, printers, and other technology for the college. Installs and upgrades applications software and hardware accessories. Provides technology onboarding and offboarding for college faculty and staff. Researches, purchases, and installs hardware and software. Coordinates and implements the technology goals for the area. Provides direct assistance and training to constituents in the area for all relevant technology. Assists with the development and management of code for college web pages and creating, administering, and supporting college listservs. Works with the Office of Information Technology to maintain the integrity and continual operation of the Capstone College of Nursing network, access and enhance the security of college data, and other shared campus technologies. Works with team, while working closely with administration, faculty, staff, students, campus partners, and vendors. Provides guidance and/or supervision to student IT technical workers.



Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of IT experience.



Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of desktop hardware/software, networking, Windows and Mac OS systems, iOS, Android, and cellular mobile devices, project management methods and applications, and support ticket systems. Detail oriented, problem solver. Ability to manage multiple issues at once. Efficient in project management and communication skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, OneDrive, Teams, Adobe applications, AV applications, HTML, Web design, Imaging/duplication and data wiping techniques, and PC and peripheral hardware repair and support procedures.



Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM, PDQ, digital audio-visual management systems, Crestron or other control and automation audio-visual solutions, instructional technology systems, Zoom/Teams or other videoconferencing and room systems for business quality communication, AxisTV or other digital display systems, Blackboard Learn, FERPA/HIPAA and related privacy policies and procedures, secure testing environments and data destruction techniques.
