The Assistant Coach will be responsible for player development, recruiting, directing conditioning programs, working with student athletes on and off the court to improve both physically and mentally, and assisting with interoffice administrative tasks as required.
* Must work nights and weekends.
* Frequent overnight travel during week and on weekends on a monthly basis through out the year.
* Prolonged period of sitting and standing indoors/outdoors and frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
* Yearly completion of NCAA compliance certification.
* Current CPR certification or completed within 6 months of employment.
* Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time; participate and lead strenuous physical activities, both indoors and out.

Faculty or Staff: 12 month
* Bachelor's degree and significant or extensive professional level of experience or specialized expertise.
Competencies:
* Skills or competencies related to the sport through previous playing and/or coaching experience.
* Demonstrated ability to transfer technical and tactical knowledge of the sport of tennis to players through positive coaching and teaching methods, in individual and team instruction.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion in the instruction and coaching of student-athletes in individual skill instruction and small group sessions.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities gained through prior playing and/or coaching experience.
* Demonstrated attention to detail.
* Demonstrates strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions.
* Strong proficiency in a variety of software applications (Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook), and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology.
* Prior professional or Division I playing experience.
* Experience recruiting top student athletes.
Hybrid (works remotely at least 1 day per week but not full-time)
