Martin Marietta is looking to hire a Journeyman Electrician to maintain, calibrate, perform trouble analysis, consult, research, and develop process control instrumentation for the purpose of obtaining optimum production efficiency. The individual hired for this role will work Monday through Friday and support three underground mines throughout the Indianapolis area.

Responsibilities
Support corporate safety culture and perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations and encourage others to participate in Guardian Angel activities.
Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, including those related to plant controls for mining operations.
Troubleshoot AC / DC motor controls and drives for underground as well as surface limestone mine.
Actively research potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune existing plant to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reporting.
Work closely with engineering group and outside contracted vendors to meet deadlines and complete capital improvement projects.
Lead by example on all MMM safety rules/procedures and MSHA compliance standards and ensure that all employees are following established safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Education and Experience
2-year technical degree in electrical or comparable experience is required
Certified / licensed Electrician is required
5 years' experience in aggregates, industrial, or similar industry desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Outstanding vendor relations skills (internal and external contractors)
Willingness to occasionally be on call or work weekends is desired
Working knowledge of high voltage electrical systems required
Skilled in the use of hand tools, test instruments and electrical construction tools
