We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Operations Manager. This role will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the daily management of the production floor, overseeing all manufacturing, materials, planning, and facilities functions. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in driving productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and profitability while implementing effective methods and strategies. The ideal candidate will be a proactive change agent with a strong sense of accountability and a hands-on leadership style. Responsibilities & Duties: Daily Production Oversight: Direct the day-to-day operations on the production floor, actively engaging with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any challenges in real-time. Customer-Focused Improvements: Drive enhancements in delivery performance, ensuring quality requirements are consistently met while reducing operating costs and increasing productivity through lean manufacturing principles. Results Orientation: Lead the Endicott team in achieving the company's strategic and operational objectives, with a strong focus on measurable results. Promote Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively applying lean manufacturing tools and methodologies in everyday operations. Promote Safety: Maintain and enforce health and safety guidelines. Performance Metrics: Monitor and deliver on key performance indicators, including quality, productivity, cost, and delivery, taking immediate action as necessary. Compliance Leadership: Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and promote a culture of accountability throughout the organization. Team Leadership: Directly lead, develop, and mentor production team members, promoting a collaborative and motivated work environment. Resource Planning: Identify and recommend necessary resources, including capital equipment and training, to support operational success and facility needs. Facility Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance of the facility and manufacturing equipment, ensuring all operational needs are met effectively. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience, with 4-6+ years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, teach, train, and motivate team members in a hands-on capacity. Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth industry; willingness to engage directly on the production floor. Proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools, emphasizing results-oriented process improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and cross-functional teams. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfortable learning specialized software programs. Demonstrated achievements indicating strong financial, leadership, and business management capabilities. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and influence positive change across functional groups. Knowledge and experience in facility and equipment maintenance. Capacity to work with a high degree of accuracy under pressure and manage frequent interruptions. Limited domestic travel may be required. Amphenol offers a competitive salary and benefits.
