Job Summary
The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of the compensation and benefits programs, including executive compensation, base salary, variable pay, and equity plans. They will also ensure that the total rewards programs comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead a group of talented benefit and compensation professionals to collaborate on key initiatives that focus on improving the company's total rewards platform.
2. Manages the performance of all third-party vendor relationships involved in the administration of the Company's compensation, benefits, wellness, or employee recognition programs.
3. Monitors trends and provides recommendations for improvements.
4. Oversee the Company's bonus and long-term incentive programs.
5. Oversee the Company's travel compensation programs and ensure equitable utilization (e.g. subsistence, premium pay, per diems, uplifts, etc.).
6. Oversee the Company's wellness program and employee recognition programs (e.g. service awards, retirement awards, Relentless Execution program, etc.).
7. Oversee the administration of the company's health and welfare benefit programs, which includes the administration of the Company's self-funded health plan, Section 125 plan, and various other ancillary benefit programs (e.g. Life, disability, dental, EAP, voluntary supplemental benefit products, and benefit discount program offerings).
8. Oversee the compliance and management of the company's time off and leave of absence programs,
which include holiday pay, Paid Time Off (PTO), FMLA, short term and long-term disability, other company and State leave of absence and disability programs.
9. Responsible for the strategy and executive of company wide communications and training pertaining to the Company's compensation, benefits, wellness, and employee recognition functions managed by the Total Rewards Department.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
2. Five (5) years in a leadership or managerial role, where responsibilities included strategy development and team management.
3. Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP is highly preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of MS Office including advanced knowledge of HR information systems.
5. Ten (10+) years of experience in HR and/or Total Rewards with a strong focus on compensation, benefits, and 401K. ESOP experience is highly preferred.
