Summary
Seeking a Software Engineer III with development experience and knowledge of operating software programs, configuring hardware devices, and developing critical procedural steps. The role requires strong knowledge in a Linux environment, developing and managing code with hands-on experience in Linux internals, Python (interpreted language), and C (compiled language). The position involves working with applications to complete tasks with underlying systems that run devices and control networks.
Responsibilities
Design, test, implement, and manage safeguards against cyberattacks
Identify, mitigate, and resolve vulnerabilities within existing security systems
Work directly with penetration testers to perform penetration tests and assess potential security problems
Develop organization-wide security measures
Prepare performance reports and communicate system status to keep users and leadership informed
Maintain quality service by following organization standards, attending educational workshops, and reviewing publications
Experience with embedded system vulnerability development
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a Scrum team or agile environment
Responsible for designing, engineering, analyzing, and developing software systems
Design, analyze, and develop software delivery processes (including DevOps pipelines)
Model and analyze software development and deployment processes
Assist Federal agencies in tailoring Agile development and delivery techniques
Engage with Government leaders to define context, problem space, and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, roadmaps, Transformation Plans, and next steps
Develop Agile processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operations
Supervise and mentor subordinate project and team staff
