The MS SQL Database Developer plays a pivotal role in the success of our organization. The MS SQL Database Developer leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of our critical Infor ERP system. Collaboration with our software development and IT teams is instrumental in guaranteeing that our database infrastructure performs optimally, remains secure, and scales effectively to meet our evolving needs.

Min CompensationUSD $90,000.00/Yr. Max CompensationUSD $110,000.00/Yr. Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and maintains SQL Server databases, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization
Writes and optimizes SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development and reporting needs
Collaborates with developers to design, develop, test, debug, and document applications within a large-scale Infor ERP system
Analyzes organizational needs and creates effective database systems according to specifications
Collects and analyzes data, designs algorithms, creates flowcharts, and implements code to support logic developed through algorithms and flowcharts
Conducts database testing and performance testing to ensure proper operation
Troubleshoots potential issues, creates and submits test reports, and recommends database improvements
Develops and maintains database documentation and operational manuals
Works closely with management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes
Integrates database modules with the front-end development team
Provides hands-on development, support, maintenance, and enhancements as required
Researches and evaluates alternative solutions for expanding existing system functionality and participating in planned technology enhancements
Designs, develops and maintains Infor ISM screens
Provides information, generates reports, and alerts from the database as needed
Acts as an intermediary between vendors and management to drive projects to completion
Troubleshoots and solves product defects
Qualifications
Applicant must have knowledge of application design including but not limited to:
Proven experience as an MS SQL Database Developer or a similar role
Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
Strong knowledge of database design principles and best practices
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., NoSQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus
.NET Application programming experience is a plus
Infor ERP and/or Microsoft Dynamics Experience is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders across the organization
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Quick learner with high motivation and strong attention to detail
Familiar with GIT Source Control
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in database development
Microsoft SQL Server certification(s) is a plus, demonstrating your expertise.
Familiarity with Agile Methodologies
Previous experience in the HVAC Industry or a related service business is preferred
