Role:
Director of Financial Shared Services oversees the end-to-end management of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in financial processing. This role is essential for streamlining processes, ensuring robust internal controls, and providing exceptional service to all stakeholders. The Director of Financial Shared Services will lead a team of AP and AR professionals, leverage technology to optimize workflows, and collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, and IT to align shared services with broader business goals.

Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy for shared services, encompassing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring alignment with the organization's overall objectives and financial goals
Provides leadership and direction to the day-to-day operations of our shared services functions (AP & AR), ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and compliance with relevant regulations
Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of AP & AR professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Monitors and reports on KPIs and SLAs, driving performance improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and timelines
Evaluates and improves the quality, accuracy and consistency of internal processes and team performance, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) for AP & AR shared services functions, ensuring accountability and regular reporting on service effectiveness and efficiency
Ensures accurate, timely processing of all AP and AR transactions in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Oversees month-end and year-end closing processes for AP and AR, ensuring financial data is reconciled and reported appropriately
Advocates for and oversees the implementation of technology solutions that streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve user experience
Manages organizational change initiatives related to the implementation and enhancement of AP & AR shared services, ensuring successful transitions and stakeholder engagement
Collaborates with business unit leaders and external partners to ensure shared services meet the needs of the organization and drive business success
Acts as the main point of contact for escalations, resolving complex issues related to vendor payments, customer billing, collections, or cash application
Monitors cash flow related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, providing timely and accurate forecasts to senior management
Develops and oversees the budget for shared services, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost management
Upholds Company policies and procedures

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of experience in finance operations, shared services, or transactional accounting (AP/AR), with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and experience leading process improvement initiatives preferred
Experience with automation and digital transformation projects within financial operations preferred
Previous experience in HVAC Industry or other service business preferred
