We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surface Mining Sales Representative to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving sales and managing relationships with dealers and customers in the Northern South America and Caribbean region. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the mining industry and possess outstanding customer focus, effective communication, and indirect leadership and influence skills.

What you will do:

Lead and manage dealers' relationships to market company products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability.

Provide commercial, marketing & sales support for the assigned territory and dealers.

Understand and sell the value of Caterpillar solutions - machines, technology, services.

Meet annual business plan targets.

Support dealers in developing comprehensive deal strategies.

Develop strategies for growth for each assigned dealer.

Measure & improve dealer value selling capabilities.

What skills you will have:

Industry Knowledge: Experience in the mining industry or technical sales to stay informed about trends, major issues, and regulatory considerations. Apply this knowledge to diverse situations to serve the needs of dealers and customers effectively. Strong Commercial background with an understanding of machines' applications.

Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques, and approaches; ability to create a strategy to drive mining equipment sales.

Customer Focus: Experience and ability to create a market-oriented, customer-centric approach. Engage in strategic planning to meet customer needs, working closely with multiple dealers and customers to ensure satisfaction.

Effective Communications: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to address complex issues and persuade others within and outside the company, including dealers and customers, to take specific actions.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships with internal and external partners. Show resilience and adaptability to meet customer demands and implement feedback from both customers and the dealership network.

Negotiating: Exhibit strong negotiation skills to sell to customer needs, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities to achieve win-win outcomes.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services. Ability to sell the value and differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Leadership and Strategic Planning: Ability to lead and manage dealer relationships to market company products and services. Assist in developing dealer sales capabilities and support the rollout of new products.

Sales Performance Reviews: Experience in performing regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensuring implementation of corrective actions where needed. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and a focus on safety and quality.

Top Candidates will also have:

Proficiency in Spanish.

Bachelor's degree or MBA.

Project management experience.

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.

This position may require 50 % international travel.
