Global Finance Director- Construction Industries
As the Construction Industries Global Finance Director, you will have the opportunity to develop essential business information and insights to provide counsel to Construction Industries (CI) management. This includes leading a team to coordinate financial planning and analysis activities across the CI divisions. In addition, you will be a key coordinator in describing the financial condition of the Construction Industries segment.
Reporting to the Global Finance Director are staff responsible for accounting and financial reporting, business analysis and business support. In addition, this role offers exposure opportunities to key senior leaders and the opportunity to quickly grow a global network.

Caterpillar does business on every continent, principally operating through three primary segments - Construction Industries, Resource Industries and Energy & Transportation - and providing financing and related services through our Financial Products segment. Construction Industries supports customers in infrastructure and building construction with a focus on heavy and general construction, rental, quarry, aggregates, and mining sectors. Collectively, the teams across the segment are responsible for business strategy, product design and development, manufacturing, supply management, marketing and sales, and product support.
What You'll Do:
Consolidate and forecast accountable results for the divisions within the segment
Liaise between Corporate Accounting and the division CFO teams
Coordinate segment board reporting
Manage RBM and Annual Business Planning for the segment
Leading segment metric reporting and strategic imperatives
Supporting CI Admin budgeting and service charge coordination
Assisting with special projects

Finance and Accounting : Expert knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results. Champions the use of new technologies and tools for analyzing financial data.
Organizational Governance: Extensive knowledge of the processes, customs, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies.
Strategic Thinking : Extensive knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Leadership: Extensive knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
Top Candidates May Have:
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline desired
Progressive finance and accounting experience, including leading a team highly preferred
