General Description
Reporting to the General Manager (GM) of ANDRITZ Bonetti Co. Inc., this position is responsible for providing technical support to area customers in close cooperation with local sales teams to identify, communicate and pursue sales opportunities of products manufactured/sold by ANDRITZ Bonetti Co. Inc. and ANDRITZ Bonetti Ltd.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Conducts paper machine audits and service calls as scheduled by the GM in close cooperation with local sales teams.
Ensures customer needs are defined and addressed in a timely manner.
Conducts paper machine shutdown inspections and prepares onsite reports as scheduled by the GM in close cooperation with local sales teams.
Conducts blade trials as required, analyzes, and prepares trial reports.
Troubleshoots customer blade and nozzle problems and provides and/or helps implement appropriate solutions.
Mitigates warranty exposure through early detection and prevention of potential problems.
Cooperate to collect delinquent accounts.
Manage blade and nozzle inventories and performs doctor blade changes during outages.
Helps the local sales teams build and maintain comprehensive databases on doctoring equipment, blades, and nozzles.
Takes field notes for new doctoring equipment quotes and orders.
Performs service/maintenance on existing doctoring equipment (set-up, profiling, ...).
Performs install of new doctoring equipment and spares.
Searches out and recommends new blade and nozzle applications.
Prepares brief call report on each paper mill visit, including the contact information and purpose of each trip, and sends to GM and local sales team.
Communicates field activity, including sales opportunities, inter-company items and competitive issues to the GM.
Prepares monthly summary report to the GM outlining highlights of the previous month, a forecast of the requirements of the following month, areas of opportunity in the field, plant issues, and competitive issues/gossip.
Communicates blade and nozzle opportunities to the local sales team.
Relieves local sale team during vacation.
Manages an expense budget within the guidelines provided.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience: Maintenance experience within the paper or other related applicable industry preferred.
Languages: English
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Knowedlge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Ability to read and understand technical prints required.
Must have strong attention to details.
Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical ability required.
Requires proven mechanical aptitude and a strong entrepreneurial drive.
Extensive travel required within the assigned region (90% of time).
The service territory will be Continental US with focus on the Midwest States.
Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, heavy duty magnets and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals.
Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment.
