Job Title: Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager - Commercial Construction


Location: Houston


Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)


Job Description:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager ready to transition into a Project Manager role within our commercial construction team. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow and develop your project management skills while taking on increasing responsibilities in managing commercial construction projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
Transition into a Project Manager role, taking on full project management responsibilities over time.
Estimate project costs by reading and interpreting plans, collecting and reviewing bids, and compiling comprehensive proposals.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any issues that arise promptly.
Prepare and present project reports to senior management and clients.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management or assistant project management in commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Experience in estimating and preparing project proposals is highly desirable.
