Risk Policy Expert - Contract - NY, NY - $65.00 - $67.00/hr.


The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Risk Policy Expert in NY, NY.


Role Description


Facilitate risk policy development and enhancement via direct collaboration with a wide range of subject matter experts on the Banks Charter.


You will be working in the Group Risk Control Policy & Framework team within the global Risk COO function, covering and mitigating a wide range of risks. Mentoring will be a significant part of your experience here along with multiple developmental initiatives. Your primary client set is the Global Wealth Management Americas Division.


• Practical experience in (preferably) a credit risk taking activity, or in a policy, operational risk management, regulatory or audit function of a financial institution.
• Understanding of the wealth management business and its lending products is favorably considered.
• A university degree in economics, business administration, law, or a numerical discipline, or equivalent additional experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain a relationship network of subject matter experts and policy contacts, whom you will lead in support of the policy framework.
• Knowledge of linkage between operating controls and principles / requirements as described in governance documents is also favorably considered.

• Excellent in written and verbal communication (English).
• Fully competent in Microsoft Office.
• Dependable in producing deliverables timely with high attention to detail.
• Skilled in managing multiple tasks in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and able to work independently.
