Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building Division has an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced executive and leaderto join our team as the Vice President, Mission Critical Solutions. This "Seller Doer" position will be in charge of client management and leading the design of Mission Critical Facilities for national and global clients.

You will excel in this position if you have the ability to successfully lead the planning, development, and execution of a program or a pipeline of connected projects and you are an articulate leader with business insight to balance commercial objectives against program compliance requirements. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven experience in project management, people management, and good decision-making.

Your Responsibilities will Include:


  • Develop and execute a portfolio of projects, including project profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, controlling available resources, project scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.
  • Responsible to identify and track any project dependencies, risks, and provide updates to client on project milestones and deliverables.
  • Lead project meetings with project teams, capturing minutes, and tracking actions.
  • Follow and champion internal governance requirements to include compliance needs, code of conflicts of interest, insider trading, discrimination, and harassment, and business essentials fundamentally linked; risks to strategy, strategy to purpose, and rewards.
  • Prepare project tools, including work breakdown structures, risk registers, requests for information, issues registers, and decision logs.
  • Support the preparation of governance documents, including Project Execution Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, Stakeholder Management Plans, and Risk Management Plans.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of contract administration, liability, and safety issues.
  • Develop scopes of work, pricing documents, estimations of level of effort, and financial tracking of assigned projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in A&E design with a consulting engineering A/E firm., with at least five (5) years in management roles.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships.
  • A valid driver's license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required.
  • Must be a US Citizenship.
  • Ability to receive and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MSc or MBA) in a relevant discipline.
  • LEED Accreditation (or other sustainability certifications).
  • PMP certification or similar project management certification.
  • Previous construction support experience with bidding assistance, RFI management, commissioning, and field observations.

This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US. The pay range for this position is between $140,000 - $170,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal parity.
