Location: Columbus, GA Hostess Manufacturing Plant
Work Arrangements: 100% on site, rotating days 2nd and 3rd shift
Report To: Sanitation Manager
In this role you will:
Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shift
Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contamination
Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed
Pest control application as needed
Ensure reports are properly maintained and completed timely
Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed
Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work policies and procedures
Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards
Ensure a safe operation in compliance with all plant safety prevention programs
Comply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations
Cooperate with engineering and production departments with required maintenance of equipment and facilities
Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Willing to work rotating flexible hours, weekends, off shifts, etc.
Work with cleaning and chemical agents and wear required PPE on a regular basis.
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Bachelor's Degree, Food Science or Microbiology.
Leadership experience.
Capable of teaching, training, and sharing technical knowledge to operations employees.
Effective Oral and Written Communication
Computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
