As a part of the Production Team, you are responsible for several bakery manufacturing activities such as performing all operator & utility jobs. As a Lead, you must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, be able to communicate and work effectively in a team structure and be flexible in work assignments within the utility and operator category. Train the Pan Setter, Feeder, Packer/Carton, Packer/Cases, Shipping Stacker, Handler, Sanitor, Receiver, Palletizer, Mixer, Fryer, Oven Operator, Wrap Operator, Depositor, Scaler, VFFS, Pearson, Vari Straight Right/Left, Enrober, Forklift, Yard Dog. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards. You will be a part of the Food Defense Team.
Essential Functions
Will perform all operator & utility jobs.
Lead one (1) production line in various roles. (i.e., Helper, Indexer, Feeder, Packer, Catcher, etc.)
Ensures compliance with Production/Packaging procedure/practices as well as inspecting all areas within
one (1) line/equipment for any operational and/or mechanical issues.
Will perform various assigned manual labor tasks to grasp, lift, move, place, and stack items relating to
the production processes assigned.
Visually inspects product for quality and quantity.
Support quality control programs to ensure production procedures follow best practices of food safety
and quality standards.
Lead the set-up operation of bakery equipment/manufacturing line, establishing priorities and sequences
for manufacturing products per production guidelines.
Review reports and all equipment issues before submitting to the supervisor or manager asap.
Monitoring runs and performing basic troubleshooting on our Bakery equipment.
Reports all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager as soon as possible.
Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations.
Work safely; follow proper lock out/tag out procedure where applicable.
Maintains a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP) procedures.
May assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and environment pre- and post-production.
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards customers, clients, coworkers, etc.
Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
May perform other duties not listed.
This Lead position has no supervisor responsibilities and no direct reports.
Tools and Equipment
All tools and equipment which are required to be used by the employees shall be supplied and kept in repair by the Employer at no cost to the employee. These items must be kept on the premises.
Minimum Requirements
Ability to work night shift.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous safety training preferred.
Prior food industry experience a plus.
Familiarity with bakery equipment preferred.
Excellent communication skills.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May push and pull trash carts weighing up to 500lb, dough carts weighing up to 800lb, portable equipment and catch pans weighing up to 500lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
