How You Will Make an Impact?

The Quality Supervisor will lead, identify, and implement the Morgan quality system at the plant level. The role will ensure that Morgan's best practices, processes, and standard work are being followed consistently within the Quality group. The individual is responsible and accountable for ensuring that Morgan's cargo meets or exceeds all our internal and customer quality requirements. The quality supervisor will supervise the quality team through in-line and final inspections. This position reports to the Corporate Quality Manager and must be the liaison with the plant leadership.

The Nuts and Bolts


  • Work with customers to determine expectations to assist in the execution of complex and/or high-quantity orders
  • Ensure the quality standard of Morgan in raw materials and products produced by Morgan
  • Responsible for the formulation of the testing procedures for quality checks
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Allocate responsibilities to staff and supervise employees
  • Record quality test results and present them to various levels of management
  • Ensure utilization of quality system procedures and processes to maintain exacting standards of quality and reliability.
  • Conduct internal audits and initiate corrective actions
  • Assist in first-article inspections and paper pilots of complex and/or high-quantity orders
  • Communicate results of customer audits and internal audits to Morgan stakeholders
  • Assist plant in problem-solving warranty claims
  • Coordinate with Operations Directors to deliver training as needed

Required Credentials


  • Supervision experience in a MFG setting
  • Must be able to work as a team and have unwavering commitment to Quality
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Able to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and other quality equipment
  • Must be able to plan, organize, communicate, and motivate team members
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detailed work
  • Prepare critical document packets for completed units
  • Able to understand and interpret sales agreement/work order
  • Able to look up and interpret/apply quality standards
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Has completed at least one quality improvement project or Kaizen event
  • Ability to perform DOT inspections
  • Ability to train new inspectors on any primary or intermediate task in which they are proficient
  • Ability to assess and disposition non-conforming supplier materials using the NCR process
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office suite
