Ensure compliance with plant environmental, safety, and health regulations and foster a commitment to these guidelines within the Maintenance team.
Act as a role model by embodying the company culture and motivating others to follow suit.
Develop the maintenance strategy, incorporating preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance, including automation, in alignment with the five-year capital plan.
Create annual maintenance plan to support the maintenance strategy and align with operating plan.
Standardize equipment with Manufacturing Engineers and Technology Competency Teams to enable leveraged spending with strategic vendors and facilitate flexible equipment replacement and repair strategies.
Lead plant maintenance throughout the facility, ensuring production requirements are met and optimized with minimal unplanned downtime.
Establish improvement metrics and a management operating system for critical equipment.
Maintain a robust Maintenance Management System with strong data integrity.
Promote continuous improvement behaviors within the Maintenance team and personally.
Achieve site KPI goals related to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and cost while ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
Proactively manage the Maintenance budget, generate cost-saving opportunities, and collaborate with support teams (Finance, Engineering, Sourcing, etc.) to implement improvements.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and implement capital projects that meet business and plant objectives, including sales growth and modernization of the facility.
Proactively manage talent within the Maintenance team.
Support direct reports through performance reviews, coaching, effective training, and maintaining a regular presence on all shop floor areas.
Develop a succession plan.
Position Requirements:
BS in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in manufacturing or 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Maintenance.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and hands-on problem-solving skills, with experience working effectively with cross-functional teams. Lean and/or TPM experience preferred.
Operational experience in batch and discrete component manufacturing environments, with a preference for experience troubleshooting equipment used in welding, brazing, carbide pressing and sintering, and machining (turning and milling), as well as facilities maintenance
Direct experience with automation systems and equipment, including robotics, PLCs, and other control systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, gas, and building systems is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, set priorities, identify and resolve problems, and meet deadlines.
Experience with maintenance management systems is required, preferably SAP PM.
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
Proven ability to engage and inspire team members and effectively manage personnel matters.
