Our client, a growing food manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, cost efficiency, and departmental expense goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Management: Supervise Maintenance Mechanics, Machine Cleaners, and Tool Room Attendants to ensure equipment is operational and clean, meeting production and safety standards.
Process Improvement: Monitor and evaluate processes and equipment, recommending and implementing continuous improvements.
Collaboration: Work effectively with peers across shifts and departments to resolve conflicts, identify root causes of issues, and document improvements.
Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to GMP, SOP, Allergen control, and HACCP requirements.
Food Safety: Oversee tasks related to foreign material control, sanitation, critical control point operation, GMPs, and storage practices.
SQF Systems: Manage tasks for the implementation and maintenance of SQF Food Safety systems.
Production Scheduling: Monitor production schedules and manage resources to meet production goals. Participate in production planning as needed.
Employment Functions: Conduct interviews, corrective action counseling, and monitor pay-for-skills programs. Identify leadership development candidates and conduct annual performance appraisals.
Safety Practices: Maintain safe practices to ensure employee health and safety. Participate in accident investigations to identify and eliminate unsafe practices and conditions. Monitor safety incident rates and recommend injury prevention measures.
Communication: Conduct weekly meetings with employees to foster positive communication and proactive problem-solving.
