Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor (1st shift) for their manufacturing facility in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Directs work group or department to assure on-time production and/or delivery.
Lead, coach, and manage a team of 25+ FTE employees
Selects and trains employees to produce at standard-and-above efficiency.
Maintain quality standards.
Responsible for maintaining high employee morale and positive relationships.
Recommends changes or improvement in methods, equipment, handling or lay-out.
Drive a lean / continuous improvement culture to increase efficiencies
Completes all other projects as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
3+ years' manufacturing and/or shipping (supervisory) experience is required
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
Lean/Kaizen/Continuous Improvement experience is highly preferred
Union experience is a plus!
Open to working 1st shift
