Job Description:

Position Summary 

Bridges the gap between technology and business, ensuring that business needs are effectively translated into technical solutions.  Evaluates and supports the organization's needs through gap analysis, system evaluations, and process improvement. Coaches the business analysis team and manages employee operations by setting priorities and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that meet the organizational objectives Collaborates closely with business units to develop business analysis processes that meet the organization’s needs. Additionally, resolves issues and escalations in a timely fashion to reduce operational impacts to members and employees.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  1. Provides leadership to create a high-performing, creative, and collaborative work environment. Develops a team of motivated, results-oriented individuals promoting cooperation among employees and other departments. Holds regular coaching and development discussions, and maintains awareness of each employee’s strengths, developmental needs, and career goals. 

  2. Develops and regularly reviews business analyst processes and procedures and works with the team to identify and resolve gaps within the defined processes. Reviews and approves all templates and workflows to create a consistent process across the organization. 

  3. Builds and leads cross-functional technical team that bridges the gap between technology and the business. Support the overall organization strategy and prioritize work that delivers and supports the organization goals. 

  4. Collaborates with business units to understand business needs and identify potential gaps. Resolves escalated issues using strong leadership skills and works to develop a strong relationship with business unit leaders. 

  5. Works collaboratively to develop processes that work jointly together and reduce areas of overlap between project management and business analysts. Establishes clearly defined processes to reduce confusion across the organization between project management and business analyst work.  

  6. Continuously evaluate and refine business analysis processes to align with industry best practices.  Implement feedback loops and performance metrics to measure and enhance the effectiveness of business analysis activities.

Supervisory Responsibility: 

This position has direct and/or indirect supervisory responsibility. 

Requirements - Education & Experience:  

Education:  Bachelor’s degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.    

Experience:  Minimum of three years of progressive management/leadership experience. Minimum of five years’ experience managing business analysis in a financial institution, required.

  1. Strong knowledge of business analyst methodologies and practices to create a department that can support the organization. 

  2. Ability to identify and address operational technological risks to be able to escalate concerns based on decisions that will have a future negative impact. 

  3.  Strong understanding of current technologies and best practices and ability to monitor and recommend trends in custom application development.   

  4. Ability to problem solve and identify areas of opportunity for business enhancements and process improvements.
