Job Description:

The Plant Manager must act according to Leedos core values which places controls in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. This person is responsible for directing the personnel and day to day activities in a manufacturing plant in accordance with plant policies and procedures by utilizing the companys Production Control Management System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise direct supervision over production and manufacturing processes of the plantEstablish a world class safety environment, including a behavioral based safety cultureHelp in the planning and establishing of plant budgetsEnsure complete and on-time delivery to customersResponsible for the quality of processed cabinetryResponsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standardsResponsible for completion of the daily scheduled work within the scheduled hoursResponsible for leading by example in regards to attendance, PPE use, breaks, and to "Drive" compliance in all areasMaintain the facility and equipment in a safe and functional conditionKeep abreast of current developments in manufacturing methodologies, and recommend improvementsTrack plant performance to operational metrics and objectives, and take appropriate action to ensure attainment. These would include among others safety, productivity, cost, quality, delivery and inventory targets.Control manufacturing costs within budgetary limits and lead manufacturing cost savings initiativesEnsure the best interests of the Company are met while maintaining positive and effective employee relationsPlan staffing needs to meet production requirements and to maintain work efficiency at the highest possible level along with monitoring and insure fair and necessary assignment of overtimeMaintain an adequate level of cross-training to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operationsLead continuous improvement efforts for area applying lean best practices to reduce waste.Responsible for enforcing all departmental process and driving the continual improvement of the processesMake this a best in class LEAN facility by deployment of appropriate LEAN toolsDevelop and implement growth plans by actively promoting the facility to current and new customers to garner additional and profitable business for LeedoActively work with the Supply Chain organization and other stakeholders to deploy appropriate best practices at other warehouses

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to set up Leedo's banders for optimum performance Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals Must have a basic ability for reading and writing in English language Innovative leader with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion Strong negotiation and communication skills with suppliers. Familiarity with the current suppliertrends/markets. Champion for change capable of role modeling via work ethic, focus and people skills Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization as well as suppliers, customers andindustry professionals in a professional and dignified manner. An excellent coach and team leader who develops clear and concise stretch goals, and is able to formulate and execute a plan. Excellent problem resolution, mediation and consultative skills Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing systems and processes. Must be able to manage, communicate and develop subordinate employees. Must have the ability to develop and execute a plan for daily production with little supervisory oversight. Proficiency of various software programs including MS Word, MS Excel and IE Explorer. Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desirable. Must be able to perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape and caliper in metricdimensions. Must have a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned daily duties and hourly goals Additional duties as deemed necessary Knowledge of wood manufacturing preferred

Education and/or Experience
College degree and/or equivalent experienceMust have at least 7 years extensive manufacturing plant leadership experience.Knowledge of wood manufacturing preferred

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.Enclosed but not air-conditioned or heated factory environment. Will include long hours of standing, some heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.Must be able to physically perform daily tasks, including lifting of large plywood sheets or parts weighing in excess of 50 lbs. or more.
