Role Summary

Supports a more complex audit as assigned. Manages numerous activities from start to close and may complete other assignments, as needed. Responsible for the quality and accuracy of own work. May review work completed by less experienced staff. Contributes to the achievement of objectives for the assigned business unit.

Responsibilities:


  • Drafts summary and detailed audit reports. May review audit reports with external auditors and various regulatory bodies upon their request. Assists with testing and validation of some high-risk control enhancements immediately upon implementation

  • Responsible for documenting current processes and identifying key controls. Evaluates business processes for gaps in controls and to align the process with internal control best practices. Identifies opportunities to streamline the process and create operational efficiencies. Executes on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to address control weaknesses.

  • Reviews audit documentation and work flow to identify and report on weaknesses in current policies and practices as related to the audit and control processes. Assists with implementation of new policies and practices to address concerns and strengthen processes.

  • Performs ad hoc audits assigned as required to assess risk associated with various internal (security breaches, system failure, reconciliation errors) or external (Sarbanes-Oxley, mutual fund trading concerns, privacy) issues.

  • Evaluates the proposed budget and time line for audit projects and proposes any necessary changes. Completes projects within the agreed-upon budget and time frame. Works effectively with the business and internal audit management to ensure that all requirements are completed within the targeted timeline and budget.

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$103,500.00 - $177,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$91,000.00 - $155,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$83,000.00 - $141,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
