Job Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for supporting Murphy's Indirect Spend categories, which include Geology, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Facilities, HSE, etc. The Analyst will work directly with stakeholders to procure services and materials facilitating the source to pay process.
The Supply Chain Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely.
Responsibilities
Monitor and facilitate requests from stakeholders for services, software, materials, etc.
Support the creation of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders on supporting quotations and contracts
Perform necessary Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order revisions
Initiate vendor set up activities and manage vendor changes
Ensure that contracting and purchasing requests are handled in accordance with Company policies and procedures
Draft, execute and amend contracts as needed in collaboration with the Contracts Team
Lead negotiations with Supplier/Contractors including developing and executing cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies and initiatives
Prepare and manage Requests for Quotations; obtain vendor quote(s), conduct evaluation analysis and make award recommendations
Oversee and ensure accurate rates are maintained in Outline Agreements
Expediting of Purchase Orders and maintaining accurate delivery dates within the system
Perform invoice reconciliation as needed
Ensure current and continued compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures both internally and externally to the Institution
Independently plan actions to ensure customer requirements are achieved
Develops clear and concise communications
Self-manage and perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight
Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain supporting Purchase Order lifecycle activities
SAP experience
Strong Microsoft Suite skills
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in supply chain supporting Purchase Order lifecycle activities
Experience with Icertis Contract Software
The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Worke is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
