Your Team & Role
As a Lead, Cloud Engineer on the Platform Enablement Journey for USB Data, Service & Technology, you will play a key role in building solutions that empower development teams to swiftly embrace cloud computing and leverage other CTO product offerings. In this position, you'll work as part of an agile Scrum team, collaborating with experienced AWS cloud engineers to deliver tools and automated solutions for the entire USB development community.
We are looking for a candidate with strong engineering and development expertise, coupled with a passion for learning new technologies. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, energetic individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to engage with multiple CTO areas, gaining deep insights into their products and identifying ways our organization can fully utilize these capabilities to drive value and accelerate development processes.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
• Collaborate within an agile Scrum team to design and build cutting-edge technology solutions.
• Partner with technical leads to align with the team’s objectives and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
• Work closely with the Product Owner (PO) and team members to define and prioritize the backlog, supporting platform improvements and future strategic goals.
• Build strong relationships with CTO product areas to promote the adoption of new capabilities and innovations.
• Leverage your expertise in relevant and emerging technologies, sharing insights and coaching team members, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Apply a "test and learn" mindset, taking informed risks and iterating quickly to optimize solutions.
• Demonstrate a commitment to authentic collaboration, engaging with colleagues across the organization and externally to drive results.
• Continuously provide feedback to the team, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance system stability and performance.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring
• Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering; or experience in related fields
• Proficiency with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes for informed decision-making.
• Ability to quickly learn new skills through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
• Experience coaching others and leveraging diverse perspectives to benefit the organization.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and challenging the status quo.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps automation tools and practices.
• Deep understanding of agile principles and the ability to lead and contribute effectively in agile environments.

Knowledge of:
• Cloud Computing: In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts, with a strong focus on AWS (AWS certification is a plus).
• Microservice & Web Service Architectures: Familiarity with designing and deploying microservice and web service architectures.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, PowerShell, and bash/shell scripting for cloud infrastructure automation.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with CloudFormation and Terraform for automating and managing infrastructure.
• Container Platforms: Experience with Docker and container orchestration management using AWS ECS and EKS.
• Data Store: Understanding of database architecture and cloud-based storage solutions.
• Architecture Patterns: Knowledge of event driven architecture with cloud-native patterns using best practices for scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure.

The salary range for this role is from $135,100.00 to $201,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
