Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager, Power Solutions. Reporting to the Vice President Operations, North America, this position ideally will be located in one of the following Wood offices: Tucker, GA, West Palm Beach, FL, Greenville, SC, Raleigh, NC. This role has overall responsibility for maintaining strategic relationships with new and existing customers and identifying business opportunities where the Power Solutions Team can provide scoping through EPCM services. RESPONSIBILITIES
Directing efforts and activities aimed at maintaining and deepening relationships with new and existing electrical power transmission & distribution clients.
Implementing business development processes and marketing strategy aligning with those of the Power Solutions business in North America.
Identifying and developing business opportunities/plans for Wood and establishing and leading proposal strategies to win major, complex projects including presentation preparation.
Directing and supporting the preparation of proposals, aligning regional/global client pricing, reviewing proposal pricing and content.
Actively participating and directing research activities to identify market opportunities and monitoring competitor activities. Actively contacting, engaging and strategizing these opportunities.
Actively pursuing and acting as Client Rep for the Wood Power Solutions business at client meetings and industry functions, within industry organizations and communities.
QUALIFICATIONS
A university degree in a relevant technical, financial or business discipline
Minimum 5+ years of proven sales experience with an EPC/EPCM company, equipment or services provider, or contractor in the Power Generation or Transmission & Distribution market.
Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of commercial, economic and business issues relating to the power industry, and knowledge of and relationships within the industry
