Job Description:

The Accounting Policy and Control Officer is primarily responsible for assessing, documenting and assisting with the implementation of new accounting guidance issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and/or other regulatory agencies. Also responsible for maintaining and updating the Company's internal control environment. The Accounting Policy and Control Officer assists with the preparation and review of regulatory reporting, including SEC filings and completes various projects as assigned by the CFO and/or Controller.


Essential Job Responsibilities__________________________________


1. Monitors and evaluates proposed and newly issued accounting guidance issued by Financial Accounting Standards Board, SEC and other regulatory agencies.


2. Develops, implements and communicates all new polices and processes to comply with newly issued accounting guidance.


3. Prepares written summaries supporting accounting positions taken on significant accounting issues or new guidance.


4. Assists with compliance with Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP), as well as internal controls, disclosure controls, and reporting controls as required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.


5. Serves as a central point of contact for changes related to financial reporting risks and internal controls.


6. Maintains system to identify, document and monitor all Sarbanes-Oxley related internal controls.


7. Supports the accounting, financial reporting and control functions with the preparation and review of financial statements and all SEC and regulatory filings.


Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications___________________________


1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting.


2. Seven years of previous work experience with four (4) years of accounting or auditing, required. CPA certification is preferred.


3. Advanced knowledge of accounting and internal control procedures.


4. Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with various departments and levels of management and staff is required, as is managing multiple tasks and projects under changing deadlines.


5. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and accounting software, is required. Proficient reading, writing, grammatical, analytical, mathematical, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.


6. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
