Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your career? We want to hear from you! Greenfield Architects is hiring a Senior Architect to lead our Multifamily Residential Studio. This position will serve as a leader and mentor to inspire and guide the studio team through all phases of the design process. The successful candidate will have the ability to help refine the skills of the existing team members, while providing both design and technical direction, ensuring client satisfaction, profitable project performance, and maintaining project quality.

The Senior Architect MFR is responsible for the overall design and management of projects under the direction and review by the President of Greenfield Architects Ltd. and Vice President of Greenfield Architects Ltd. This position requires the application of a high degree of design and technical skills, building code compliance, project administration, schedule, cost, and quality control.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage client relationship including proposal development, presentation, contract management, and client communication.

  • Produce proposals for design services with a high degree of success in competitive circumstances and manage the production of design services within those estimated costs.

  • Lead overall design process while managing multiple projects between $2M to $80M dollars on an annual basis.

  • Manage entire design team for production of project design drawings and construction documents for multi-family residential projects. Other project experience in the design of retail centers, medical offices, business offices, hotels, distribution, industrial, and universities is a plus.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating and monitoring service for quality performance.

  • Manage construction administration of projects including bidding, shop drawing review, RFIs, and periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with construction documents.

  • Manage and coordinate outside engineers, specialty consultants, and inside resources.

  • Utilize understanding of building costs, and drivers of those costs, while managing the design process to produce a design representing a construction project that is within established cost parameters.

  • Communicate change concepts, engage in constructive discussions about change and impact thereof, and lead change initiatives as needed.

  • Identify multiple solutions to a problem and evaluate and determine which solutions are most effective.

  • Utilize creativity and innovation to think outside the box using an entrepreneurial spirit.

Important Areas of Expertise:


  • Bachelor of Architecture (BARCH) degree

  • Minimum 10 years as a Licensed Architect in the US

  • LEED BD + C preferred 

  • 10 or more years of Architectural firm experience in designing and managing Multifamily Residential Projects

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCad, & Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated high order of architectural competence, both as an individual and as a leader within the team.

  • Strong Presentation Skills-both written & verbal.
