As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will administer complex respiratory therapy procedures to evaluate and treat individuals with compromised cardiopulmonary functions due to developmental defects, aging, physical injury, or disease. This involves:
Assessment: Evaluating respiratory status through diagnostic tests and physical exams.
Treatment Planning: Developing personalized care plans tailored to the patient's condition.
Therapy Administration: Implementing respiratory care techniques such as mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy.
Monitoring: Continuously tracking patient progress and adjusting treatments as needed.
Education: Instruct patients and families on managing respiratory conditions and using equipment at home.

Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree (required)
Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
Graduate from an AMA-approved program by the National Board of Respiratory Care in Respiratory Therapy (required)
Certifications:
Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Therapist (required)
Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance (required)
CPR certification (required)
ACLS certification (preferred)
Experience:
Two years of experience as a Respiratory Technician (preferred)
