As a Commodities Project Manager, you will be working cross-functionally with multiple areas of the business for financial management, requirements gathering, and process documentation, to develop and execute innovative solutions for the business. These solutions will standardize, simplify, and modernize current processes. You will demonstrate excellent analytics skills, attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement. You will be comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership within the business. This position will also be responsible for financial management including reports on internal Commodity Purchasing Group (CPG) performance, budgeting, and ad-hoc elevator financials.


You'll thrive when dealing with complex problems and ambiguity by using a variety of tools to find answers. You'll operate with limited guidance and have strong business partnering skills that you will proactively use. You won't be afraid to approach new, unique problems, and you'll be capable of working with large amounts of data with high attention to detail.

Some example responsibilities include:



  • Develop business case justification for projects and initiatives

  • Lead project scoping and planning

  • Develop and execute improvement action plans

  • Establish and drive productivity pipeline roadmaps across departments

  • Measuring process improvement benefits after changes are implemented

  • Project manager for Commodity Finance Projects (Evaluating and improving processes, automating financial reporting, and system testing)

  • Manage CIR Development and Approval Process

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with corporate accounting and finance teams to ensure successful collaboration between groups


Some technical areas of expertise you'll use:



  • Experiment design and analysis

  • Operational metric development

  • Automating business and reporting processes

  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts (including data model design and query optimization strategies) utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred but not required


Some experience we'd like you to have:



  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to business audiences; and the ability to explain business processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resources

  • Problem solving aptitude with strong intellectual curiosity

  • Strategic thinker with previous examples implementing change management




REQUIREMENTS:


Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 5+ years experience or with demonstrated success in roles requiring strong analytical skills. Must possess strong prioritization and organizational skills. Knowledge of the food or agriculture industry is a plus.

Computer Skills: Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc. Additional knowledge around database query reporting tools. Experience of SAP, GCP and PowerBI a plus

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members.

Special Skills: Exceptional technical and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and develop new solutions; Superior organizational and problem solving; Perseveres to locate necessary data and identify creative solutions to enable project completion; Experience collaborating with solutions to enable project completion; Consistently delivers high-quality timely work with milestone and deliverables tracking/management; Passion for learning.
