Job Title: Collections Litigation ParalegalLocation: Woodland Hills, CASalary: $55,000 - $70,000 + Full Benefits Package
Job Description: An established real estate law firm representing homeowners' associations throughout Southern California is seeking a full-time Collections Litigation Paralegal. The Collections Litigation Paralegal will manage individual collection files in pre- and post-judgment collections and provide backup to the litigation team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Collections Litigation Paralegal to join a team of eight attorneys and 11 support staff in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage collections cases from pre-petition to post-judgment, including drafting and assembling legal documents such as pleadings, motions, summons, complaints, and discovery
Calendar litigation deadlines (court-rules based) and monitor court appearances and deadlines
Maintain and organize client, debtor, and litigation data in the firm's case management system
Communicate with homeowners, clients, and property managers to gather necessary documentation and respond to requests
Process payments, prepare monthly status reports, and assist with general collections duties as needed
Provide backup support to the litigation team as a Collections Litigation Paralegal
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or two years of related experience; paralegal certificate preferred
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload and meet deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with legal software
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in client and vendor interactions
Familiarity with HOA collection procedures and bankruptcy is a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment
