Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
Minimum [X] years of accounting experience, with at least [X] years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
