In this position, the candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks within the Human Resources department for over 250 employees. They will also support the site Human Resources Generalist on assisting with time & attendance processing, temporary staffing needs, and all personnel matters at the site level. They may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruitment and employment, training and development, employee relations, affirmative action, employee rewards and recognition, and safety programs, all while maintaining strict confidentiality.

What's needed for this role?
Performs HRIS data entry and runs reports, i.e., maintains temporary employee records.
Translates documents into Spanish for HR and operations management team, as needed. Provides verbal translation support to HR and operations management team, as needed.
Answers frequently asked questions from employees and managers relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Assists with employee relations investigations, handling with the utmost confidentiality.
Assists HR Generalist with the recruitment process by reviewing candidates and qualifications in our ATS, sharing resumes with managers, and performing reference checks.
Ensures new hire I-9 compliance and maintenance of current I9s.
Audits and submits invoices for various vendors.
Completes termination paperwork and may conduct or assist with exit interviews.
Responds to reference checks, requests for verifications of employment, and employee letter requests.
Creates, maintains, and distributes new hire orientation packets.
Conducts and / or assists HR Generalist with new hire orientation for employees as well as assists new hires with their onboarding paperwork.
Assists with benefits administration, i.e., collecting missing benefit information and answering basic employee questions and assists with annual benefit open enrollment.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and documentation. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Education/Experience:
HS Diploma/GED equivalent required
Must be bilingual in Spanish, verbal and written.
Must have 2 years' experience in a comparable role; i.e. office administration, HR administration, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
HRIS experience desired, ADP WFN preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
