Job summary:


The Sales Operations Lead will be responsible for driving the sales operations of the Rowan University Corporate Learning division. The Sales Operations Lead will support and enable program managers to efficiently manage a team of 8+ people including a Partnerships Associate, Outreach Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, and Agreement Coordinator.



The Sales Operations Lead role will report directly to the VP for Academic Innovation and Online Partnerships, and will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing sales processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting the Corporate Learning team to achieve their targets. This role will play a key part in developing and implementing strategies that enhance sales productivity, ensure data accuracy, and streamline workflows.



Key Performance Indicators:


  • Program success - partnerships built and expanded, partner satisfaction, student satisfaction, and internal Rowan operational efficiency

  • Student success - enrollment numbers and tracking including outreach to new students and expansion of the student enrollment pipeline

  • Duties and responsibilities:


  • Support new strong, sustainable, and healthy B2B partnerships for each program, as well as work with existing partners to accelerate revenue and growth

  • Responsible to define opportunities, strategize partner segments to target, structure to drive deals/pitching end-to-end from commercial negotiation to closure, and execute partnerships while delegating and overseeing sales lead initiatives.

  • Support and provide key data and analysis to identify clear attribution of students, improvement opportunities, Team and individual KPIs and overall visibility into business drivers

  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary

  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives

  • Coach and support program managers to manage their teams to meet program goals and drive growth

  • Collaborate with program managers on the best processes to drive operational efficiencies 

  • Co-create business development plan and roadmap with partners 

  • Oversee relationship and account management with partners through program manager/sales lead instruction and oversight.

  • Prepare and deliver regular business reviews / project updates to VP for Academic Innovation and Online Partnerships on progress, roadblocks, and solutions


  • Desired education and experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus

  • Significant experience in building partnerships and scaling businesses

  • Proven experience in marketing for higher education institutions, preferably with experience in online university settings

  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity

  • Knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, and employee management

  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands

  • Understanding of partnership development and the full lifecycle from introduction to agreement

  • Ability to define potential risk points and advise program managers on best practices

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
