Our Excavation Division (EXD) is responsible for designing and manufacturing tracked and wheeled excavators in sizes ranging from 11 to 90 metric tons, along with Cat Work Tools. Core Work Tool products include buckets, hammers, couplers, thumbs, rippers, and a variety of hydro-mechanical and fabricated tools. Our employees live and work in all corners of the world. As the Senior Sales Support Consultant (Excavation Division) you will collaborate with field teams, factories, and business partners to drive profitable sales growth in North America for Excavation Division (EXD) machines and work tools.

What You Will Do:
  • Debugging and troubleshooting robotic systems; automating all the aspects of robotics processes to ensure effective operations.
  • Manage Dealer Orders Communications Solution (DOCS) inquiries from USA & Canada dealerships, providing solutions for order inquiries and specialty configuration requests with speed and quality.
  • Lead stocking strategy - ensures machine models, quantities, locations, and configurations are ordered in a manner to maximize profitability for the North America region.
  • Own the product group marketing machine program - works with business partners to order, demonstrate, and sell product group owned assets in a manner that maximizes dealer adoption and sales with conquest customers.
  • Oversee price lists and attachment offerings for all EXD models - identifies and resolves process gaps to ensure order to delivery process is maximized to enable growth.
  • Act as the key liaison between the field teams and factories for all commercial EXD requests in North America. Works with retail and rental teams to drive profitable PINS with key dealerships for the region.
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Previous experience with machine configuration (i.e. Excavator's).
  • Previous experience with machine ordering.
  • Previous experience working with Caterpillar dealerships, or, working with external facing clients.
