RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client in Denver, CO is looking for a Network Infrastructure/Cabling Engineer for a 12-month engagement.

Summary:
You will be part of a team that designs horizontal cabling, deploys network infrastructure hardware to both new construction and remodeled spaces. The Engineer will be responsible for working independently, providing design and build requirements for both new and existing buildings. The candidate will be working with both internal agencies and external contractors to assess sites, provide our standards and technical specifications, order and organize equipment, tools and supplies that are required for each project.

This assignment may require some after hours and early morning work outside of regular business hours. The Engineer will also need transportation as travel will be required within the boundaries of the company. Standard configurations, procedures, and change management must be closely followed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Comprehensive understanding of TIA standards


• Detailed knowledge of structured cabling (Cat 5, Cat 6, fiber, crossover cables, color codes, patching, etc.)


• Experience providing site surveys, preparing estimates, and validating quotes


• Understanding of networking, IP addresses (DHCP and Static), network ranges, VLAN's, subnetworks, etc.


• Proficient working in Excel and other Microsoft products


• Experience working on a variety of construction projects


• Knowledge of AV products a plus (Video conferencing solutions (i.e., Polycom, Surface Hub))


• Experience Configuring Cisco Switches a plus (IOS, IOS-XE)


• Knowledge of Cisco Wireless and Juniper Mist products a plus


• Knowledge of electrical a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
