About the Job: The Financial Analyst conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, revenues, expenses, and other financial projections. Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making. Provides advice and counsel to the Senior Financial Analyst, Healthcare Operations and site leadership based on findings.

Charge Structure
The Financial Analyst is responsible for establishing private pay rates that maintain the financial health of the health care locations. This responsibility includes:
Scheduling the rate adjustments for the locations
Gathering comparative data and input from the locations
Preparing an analysis spreadsheet
Recommending rates
Communicating with the operational management team to finalize rates
Contracting and Maintaining Rates
The Financial Analyst is responsible for establishing and maintaining Managed Care Agreements and rates. This responsibility includes:
Obtaining Agreements and rates with Managed Care Organizations.
Reviewing Agreements for language and payment rates
Contacting Managed Care Organizations for rate adjustments under existing Agreements.
Analyzing proposed rate adjustments
Communicating with the operational management team to finalize rates
Credentialing and other Managed Care requirements to maintain location Agreements
Rate Maintenance
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of the rates in the billing This responsibility includes:
Knowledge of the different Payor rates
Knowledge of the billing system and keeping up with system upgrades
Calculation of the Medicare rates and inputting the rates into the billing system
Calculation of the therapy rates and inputting the rates into the billing system
Review and updating the amount to be used for the rates in the billing system until the actual rate in obtained
Ensuring all rates are entered into the system accurately
Financial Analysis
The Financial Analyst will generate and analyze reports related to financial, therapy and payroll data to identify areas for improvement. This includes:
Collecting relevant data
Updating reports with the latest information
Producing month-end reports for distribution to the operational management
Highlight areas of concern for the Senior Financial Analyst and the operational management team
Planning
The Financial Analyst will develop assigned health care annual operational budgets. Responsibility includes:
Collecting occupancy projections from the operational team and verifying against trends.
Entering the private payment rates into all the healthcare budgets
Calculating and verifying the budgeted revenues
Gathering staffing projections from the operational team
Reviewing completed budgets for discrepancies in wages and other expenses from current trends.
Coordinate calls with the operational team to review and finalize the budgets
Payroll Analysis
The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting weekly payroll analysis. This role involves:
Reviewing the payroll analysis reports produced by the Data Coordinator.
Analyzing variances between actual and budgeted payroll figures.
Communicating the variances and ideas for improvement with the operational team
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in related or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum of three (3) - five (5) years of related
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), Point Click Care and NetSuite.
Ability to gather data, analyze inconsistencies, produce reports and provide advice and counsel based on findings.
Ability to work flexible hours
