Purpose of Role This role will be part of Claire's Transformation Office, known as the Value Creation Office (VCO). The Executive Director of Transformation and Value Creation will be responsible for the overall successful execution of the Value Creation Plan. This individual will work in close partnership with the Chief Transformation Officer (SVP Strategy & Transformation) to 1) ensure maximum impact from Claire's Value Creation Plan, 2) serve as a thought partner for ELT to unblock at-risk deliverables and 3) lead select initiatives that do not have ELT ownership This role requires close collaboration with key members of Claire's ELT and the ability to influence decision making and action through a true partnership mindset. This is a unique opportunity to help lead Claire's transformation. It is a critical role in the organization, with very high visibility to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure maximum impact from Claire's Value Creation Plan
Ensure excellent preparation of materials for all VCO meetings (1:1s, SteerCos, etc.,) in partnership with Associate
Lead weekly 1:1 meetings with ELT, driving decision making and adherence to timelines and key activities
Identify accountable leads across the organization and ensure successful onboarding to VCO process
Ensure KPI Tracker and Targets are continuously updated; track these KPIs to ensure success of program and raise flags in 1:1 meetings as needed
Maintain 3-year impact model (P&L) in partnership with CTO
Serve as a thought partner for ELT to unblock at-risk deliverables
Know the organization, and proactively identify and work with individuals to eliminate roadblocks
Partner with ELT in a collaborative way to solve problems rather than identifying them
Partner with ELT members to add detail to existing milestone workplans and add detail to charters on an as-needed basis
Support cross-functional change management across Claire's to unlock impact of VCP
Lead select initiatives that do not have ELT ownership
Lead high-priority initiatives without ELT ownership, in partnership with CTO
Specifics of these initiatives are confidential in nature, activity requires: clear project management and end to end ownership of cross-functional objective, ability to create and manage to financial targets, ability to influence senior executives to align and action critical decisions for organization
Education and/or Certifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
MBA preferred
Essential Criteria
12+ years of professional experience
3-5+ years of experience working in professional service environments, especially management consulting or investment banking, is highly preferred
Management experience required (preferably at management consultancy, IB firm)
Preferred tactical experience working at a Retailer or CPG company
Distinctive project management and team management capabilities
Self-starter with high levels of intellectual curiosity
Distinctive communication skills and influence mindset across all levels
Impact oriented problem-solving ability: ability to jump in and lead problem solving across wide range of topics with a "first principles" mindset
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high pace environment
Strong analytical toolkit, robust understanding of financial and operational levers also is required (e.g., business plan modelling, working capital management, financial statement analysis, P&L management)
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint)
Compensation Range: $177,840.00 - $254,800.00
Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
