Volt is immediately hiring for a Cure Oven Operator in Taylor, TX.

As a Cure Oven Operator, you will:
Sand excess epoxy mix from sides of slabs.
Assure molds are free of contaminants and apply mold release chemicals.
Operate cure oven by extracting, inspecting, and sanding cast products and other operations.
Shim molds and log adjustments in the database.
Extract epoxy-resin slabs from the oven using an overhead crane.
Remove meniscus from the edge of parts.
Measure thickness using a caliper and communicate to data entry.
Load cure oven with material pulled from the gel oven.
Inspect slabs for surface defects, document data in an iPad, and write slab ID on the edge of the part.
Visually verify parts in the cure oven match the slab ID and location in the database.
This is a full-time opportunity. Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions.
MUST be clean shaven daily
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Capability of becoming forklift certified.
Experience operating heavy machinery including an air hammer.
Required to wear a full-face respirator.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Graduate or GED.
Experience: Minimum/No Experience required; 3 months in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
