SUMMARY

 

The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) for Midstream Accounts focuses on cultivating and securing relationships with key clients in the midstream sector. The SAE ensures alignment between client needs and the organization's midstream-related offerings. Acting as the primary contact, the SAE facilitates communication and coordination between clients and internal teams. This role demands expert knowledge of midstream products, services, and applications, as well as a thorough understanding of the client's operational challenges, strategic goals, and industry environment. The SAE is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing risks, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective relationship management and strategic account planning.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Client Relationship Management and Strategic Planning:


  • Building Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key midstream clients through regular interactions, meetings, and personalized service. Serve as the liaison between the client and the organization, ensuring their needs are addressed effectively. Coordinate with client-facing team members to ensure transparency and effective execution in midstream services.

  • Understanding Customer Needs: Gain a deep understanding of the client's midstream objectives, operational challenges, and pain points. Use this insight to tailor solutions and offerings that align with the client's strategic goals and industry requirements.

  • Strategic Account Planning: Design and continually refine strategic account plans specific to midstream needs, outlining goals, objectives, and action steps to achieve mutual success. Adjust plans based on changing client needs and market conditions in the midstream sector.


Revenue Generation and Risk Management:


  • Driving Revenue Growth: Identify and leverage opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding within the midstream sector. Propose solutions that add value by understanding industry trends and the client's midstream environment.

  • Sales and Negotiation: Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and agreements related to midstream services, ensuring a win-win approach that meets both customer expectations and business objectives. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and develop key midstream customer relationships.

  • Risk Management: Proactively address risks in midstream accounts, including competitive threats and market fluctuations. Develop and execute contingency plans to ensure business continuity and mitigate potential challenges.


Collaboration, Communication, and Support:


  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations, Growth & Strategy, and Product Technology, to deliver value to midstream accounts. Ensure effective cross-functional teamwork and alignment.

  • Customer Support and Availability: Offer prompt support for midstream-related issues, addressing internal and external needs efficiently. Be prepared to travel as needed to meet business and customer requirements.

  • Primary Point of Contact: Act as the primary contact for midstream clients, managing communication and coordination between the organization and internal teams.


Reporting and Insights:

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates, reports, and forecasts on midstream accounts to management. Offer insights into account progress, opportunities, and challenges, and stay updated on industry trends and competitive intelligence.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE


  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of applicable industry experience, particularly in midstream.

  • In-depth understanding of midstream products, applications, and industry trends.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.

  • Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating information transfer.

  • Proficient in applications used for data analysis, reporting, and effective communication..
