Job Description Summary
The Supervisor Settlement is responsible for timely validation and accurate reconciliation of Disputes. In this role you will support all business units and departments enterprise wide overseeing specific strategic customers. It is important that there is a consistent relationship with all customers for ease of processing. This role will supervise 3-5 people.
Job Description
• Develop and maintain relationships with extended business functions within Lamb Weston and
be the first point of contact for escalation on disputes and deduction resolution.
• Act as a liaison between extended business functions, customers and the Associate Settlement
Analyst to ensure accurate and timely completion of the assigned tasks.
• Drive team performance based on established Key Performance Indicators for claim processing
by managing a specific dollars, days, and quantity threshold. Expectation is to process all claims
timely before month end report outs.
• Analyze trends of A/R deductions to reduce discrepancies and drive for deduction resolution
and recovery.
• Represent Dispute and Deduction Settlement team with periodic account reviews with sales
team or external customers.
• Provide new hire onboarding and develop ongoing training for existing team.
• Review system for customer credits and accurately apply to outstanding deductions.
• Review for aged system credits against customer contracts and apply to approved deductions.
• Develop, lead, and execute projects for invalid deductions recovery cross-functionally.
• Follow SOX audit compliance to ensure accuracy when reviewing, processing, and exercising
independent decisions on matters that affect the business.
• Conduct detailed Dispute and Deduction trend analytics based upon dispute and deduction
patterns and work with Sales, Logistics, Freight and other departments for proactive resolution
• Monthly touch points with customers on optimization, timely claims, trends, and any other
relevant topics or concerns. It is important that there is a consistent relationship with all
customers for ease of processing.
• Go to person for the team with any needed support or questions as well as helping backup when
others are out of office.
• Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance
speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
• Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, and justifiable in
accordance with organization policies and procedures.
• Review performance data that includes financial, sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets, to
monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
• Other Duties, Analytics and Projects as assigned to support the business.
• Supervise a team of 3-5 people.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years accounts receivable, credit, collections and/or trade or non-trade deduction
resolution experience.
• Research, strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• May require presentations to Sales, internal departments, and customers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, analytics, and ability to quickly learn and utilize multiple
systems and draw appropriate conclusions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects
• Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead
