Overview
The Insmed Summer Internship Program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment in the pharmaceutical industry, receive mentoring from highly skilled professionals, and work on dynamic team projects. Our 12-week 2025 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Representative responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Participate in designing, cloning, and producing novel AAV gene therapy candidates using a broad range of molecular biology and tissue culture techniques
Contribute to evaluating AAV gene therapy candidate properties and function using in vitro assays
Assist in the development and execution of cell-based biological potency assays
Analyze and interpret experimental data
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
Collaborate with team members on research and development initiatives
Present findings and progress updates to the team
Qualifications:
Currently in full-time pursuit of a Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced level degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology or related field
Interested in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry
High level understanding of molecular biology techniques, recombinant DNA technology, bacterial and mammalian cell culture, and protein characterization techniques
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.
Salary Range
$25 - $35 per hour
Compensation & Benefits
Eligible for paid company holidays during the intern program.
