Salary: $55,000.00 USD Annually - $75,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
JDP is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist for one of our manufacturing clients.
*manufacturing industry experience required*
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the role involves researching, analyzing, and forecasting buying trends, markets, styles, and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential vendors through various methods.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure competitive rates and quality.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product standards.
- Maintain detailed records of vendor agreements and communications.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ensure timely product delivery to meet customer commitments.
- Review material lists and address shortages.
- Resolve discrepancies in receiving and supplier invoices.
- Maintain accurate product information in the ERP system.
- Prepare reports on sourcing activities and vendor performance.
- Maintain continuous communication with vendors regarding order status.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Skills/Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of industry vendors, customers, and competitors.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
