Reports To: Center Director of Early Childhood Education
Job Type: Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $22.00-$24.00/hr
Job Summary: The Assistant Director will support the Director in managing the daily operations of the early childhood education program. This role involves ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, maintaining high standards of educational quality, and providing leadership and support to the teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the programs.
Ensure compliance with OCFS and other regulatory bodies.
Support and mentor teaching staff, providing professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement curriculum plans.
Maintain communication with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and providing updates on child progress.
Assist in managing enrollment and maintaining accurate records.
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant events.
Support the Director in budget management and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of OCFS regulations and early childhood best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with educational software.
